*yes, literally heavy as in weighing too much, but if you want to interpret that as cool-heavy, i won't stop you.

We received the rings in the mail a few days ago...and they are absolutely adorable. I love them, they are exactly what I had pictured. :) my husband was super surprised and loves his. it's a teeeny bit large but he says he'll wear it around for a few days and then decide what to do. we have a new ring heading over to Catbird. it's from the same tree that made our classic Brilliant Twig Ring. we hunted for a larger branch last spring and over the summer, made this heftier version. Seen here in 22k, matte finish. ask the 'birdettes to see the new O'Big Twig Rings.

Summer Proposal!

Hello,

The holiday to NY was great, just a bit too hot to enjoy it fully as we couldn't see everything we wanted to see. But that just means we will need to come to NY again... which is hardly a chore.

As you can see from the picture Shellie said yes to my proposal at the top of the empire state building. Thank you so much for the help with the ring.

6.2mm rose cut white diamond & 14k rose gold. Will arrive at Catbird on May 15th. Check in with them if you want to see it in person. new memento mori

working on a new memento mori piece. here is the first phase in wax.

cast in brass and halved so we can hollow out the inside.

here, it's in silver and cut in more pieces to work on details like the teeth and that little nose bone.

close up of top teeth. used a 8/0 blade to cut the teeth and diamond bits to carve in some detail. working on the lower jaw today!

Ancient Roman Design
